Send me a video — the link, or the file. I watch it second by second: picture, sound and words. Then I tell you how it opens, what costs you, and what I'd change.
not the caption. not the hashtags. the video.
Read off the footage itself — what's on screen, what's said, how it's cut — not guessed from a caption or a view count.
What happens in the first second or two: a face, the product, words on screen, or a slow start. On your own account, I put it against how your other openings did.
The still shots, the late reveal, the part that runs long — pointed at by the second, so you can see it for yourself.
The cut I'd make, the line I'd move up, the words I'd put on screen — and, before you post, my honest feel for whether it has a real shot.
Public TikTok, Instagram and Facebook links, or the file itself. If a link won't open, I say so and ask for the file — I never guess what's inside.
Here, a pizza place's account against the four nearest it. One video gets the same eyes — every point traced back to what's on screen.
Open on hands, not on the shopfront. Every one of their winners shows food being made before the name.
Their polished promo ads run at a fifth of the rest. Don't chase their budget.
Nobody nearby films the dough at 6am. That's yours to take — I've drafted three.
an example — every line traced back to a video she watched
I watch your account first, so I know what normal looks like for you — your openings, your lengths, your typical views.
Paste the link to a TikTok, a Reel or a Facebook video, or upload the file — yours, a draft, or someone else's you want to learn from.
Second by second: who's in frame, what's said, the words on screen, the cuts. Then what works, what costs you, and what I'd change.
Your app's analytics can show a retention graph for your own videos. I don't see that graph, and I won't pretend to. What I do is watch the video itself, second by second, and tell you what's on screen at each moment — so you can read that graph with the footage in front of you.
And on a video that isn't yours — a competitor's, a creator's — there is no graph at all. Watching is the only way in.
Give me your @ first, so I know your account. Then send me the one you're unsure about — I'll watch every second of it.
Running more than one? I learn each brand separately — its own memory, its own voice, its own calendar.
